My name is Hannah (she/her) and I am an actress, singer, dancer, portrait artist, photographer, pasta maker, and nature lover. I grew up in Archbald, PA, and fell in love with ballet at a very early age. As I got older, I discovered my love for performing in all capacities and made my way into the theatre scene, which led me to Syracuse University where I pursued a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. Theatre has introduced me to some of the most important people in my life, and I am eternally grateful for the friends it has gifted me. I have surrounded myself with members of my community, and as a lesbian, my mission as an artist is to inspire younger generations to live life authentically, and not feel the need to hide who they are to fit in. I see art everywhere, and I love to create things based on my inspirations, like my friends, singer-songwriter Lizzy McAlpine, Claude Monet’s paintings, and innovative animation projects like Sony’s Spider-verse films. From homemade pasta with my family to graphite portraits, I am always making something! I have been creating realistic portraits of people that inspire me for the past ten years, and I’ve turned it into a business, working under the name H.D. Commissions.

As a kid, I was always making art, from classes in school to after school art lessons. When I entered high school, I found a love for drawing my friends and public figures who inspire me. During my time in college, I created a business and have been taking commissions ever since. I love making realistic portraits of people I know because I get to watch them come alive on the page. While I typically only work with graphite, I enjoy working with different mediums from time to time. During the many hours spent in isolation during the pandemic, I painted a mural on my closet wall that pays homage to my favorite film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse. I find as much joy consuming art as I do making it, and I’m so grateful to be able to pursue my creative passions.
Additionally, I love taking photos! After rummaging through the cabinet filled with old technology at my house, I found several of my mom's old digital cameras and have been putting them to use ever since. Growing up, my mom always had either a camera or camcorder in hand. I feel very grateful as a nostalgic person to have so much of my life captured in photos or film that I can look back on, which is why I love capturing the moment whenever I can. I especially love snapping candid photos of my friends and family, and getting close up pictures of the moon.
